Stroke rehabilitation.

Martial Artists, Physical training instructors - Listen up!!

ARNI - Action for Rehabilitation from Neurological Injury

I will be heading down to London in January to meet up with an exceptional man Dr Tom Balchin. 1st I'd like to give a little info on Tom and the things that he does. To begin with Dr Balchin is a stroke survivor who has rehabilitated himself from complete paralysis on his left side to 99% strength and has gained for significant grades in different martial arts. He has achieved extraordinary goals that some may have deemed impossible. He has been offering his services to other stroke survivors in his area voluntarily to try to bridge the gap between them being left at home to actively getting them into the gym and to full mobility- ROM. I will spend some time with Tom there with my partners in crime Normski and big ald and after doing so will be the first in the area to be able to offer these services to the survivors. This is a voluntary program, it will benefit gyms, trainers and of course the clients but will also give publicity to clubs/gyms/ trainers etc.

Tom incorporates all types of methods into ARNI to enable people to achieve results

To learn more about the scheme follow this link http://www.arni.uk.com/

we will be looking for people who have the skills to teach and coach functional movements along with the core ARNI techniques to bring these people back to full health.

If you have any questions or are keen to help then please email me at ljar@hotmail.co.uk
